Better recycling for a Happier Life

At Jiuze material, we take pride in crafting our recycled yarns from a diverse blend of materials—cotton, denim, and polyester sourced from discarded water bottles, textile waste, and even ocean-bound plastics. By transforming these existing materials, we’re not just reducing our carbon footprint; we’re nurturing our planet for future generations. Our customers can feel good about their choices, knowing they’re receiving the same high-quality products they trust, all while making a meaningful, positive impact on the world. Together, we can weave a brighter, more sustainable future.

Ocean Waste Turned into Recycled Yarns

Eight million tons of garbage end up in the oceans annually, with 75% lurking below the surface, posing a dire threat to marine life. BekaertDeslee is joining the SEAQUAL initiative, a colossal ocean cleanup effort. Through specialized recycling chains for materials like aluminum, metal, glass, and plastic, they convert ocean plastics into new yarns for high-quality mattress textiles and covers.

Recycled yarns made from plastic bottles

Recycling plastic bottles into yarns and fabrics significantly reduces waste and promotes sustainability. By recycling polyethylene terephthalate (PET) from plastic bottles, we can create new PET products. The resulting PET granulates are used to craft PES yarns, which helps minimize waste and reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption.

Additionally, by coloring the granulates, we can produce colored PES yarns, allowing for the creation of a wide variety of new fabrics. This dope-dyed method of coloring has a significantly lower environmental impact compared to traditional coloring techniques.

Recycled yarns from post-production waste

Our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system allows us to sort waste from production, creating clean waste streams of white and colored polyester (PES). In collaboration with selected partners, we successfully recycle and produce high-quality PES.

These yarns contribute to the circular economy in the textile industry by preventing landfill waste and avoiding textile incineration. Additionally, they have a lower carbon footprint compared to virgin polyester yarns, which are oil-based.

Recycled yarns from Polyester Textile Waste

We reuse and recycle textile waste to create new yarn made from recycled PES through chemical recycling. This recycled polyester yarn is produced from fabric waste, including discarded garments and leftover materials from both pre- and post-production, making a direct contribution to a circular economy.

Although this process may require more energy and resources, it results in recycled polyester yarn of exceptional quality, comparable to virgin polyester. Our commitment to excellence ensures that our products support both sustainability and performance within a circular economy.
